Scotland Travel Writing
Travel is my biggest passion. There is not a thing in the world that educates, thrills and satisfies quite like learning more about the world through personal experience. Since finishing university in 2008 travel has been one of the constants in my life and my road has taken in six continents, endless laughs, occasional terrors, innumerable rants and memories to last me forever. It’s a journey that almost inevitably led to travel writing.
With my solo international travel blogging days now behind me I now spend most of my time as a Scottish blogger that just can’t stop talking about his home country. My travel blog persona is Travels with a Kilt and this is where I combine my love for travel and my love of Scotland. In addition to constantly seeking the next adventure, I am always on the lookout for good quality partnerships, and I work continuously with all the major organisations and brands within the travel industry here.
Blog posts and articles
If you are a fan of my Scotland travel writing I’d be delighted to hear from you about working together. My writing style is adaptable as needed and can cover destinations, activities and excursions, accommodation, equipment and tools both physical and digital that benefit the 21st Century traveller. Although not my principal area of focus, I do work on freelance writing projects on a regular basis and I’m always open to ideas. If it has a relevance to Scotland and travel, I am interested. You can keep up with my blogging travels through my ever-growing Scotland blog where you’ll see that I cover the length and breadth of the place. The outdoors, history and whisky tend to be my main priorities, but you learn pretty quickly in this line of work to keep an open mind.
Reviews are things I do less of these days. I now tend to focus on promoting regions and activities, but the likes of dining and accommodation do sometimes feature as part of that. Any businesses that make it into my blogs are therefore less ‘reviews’ and more ‘promoted endorsements’ that fit with my primary focus on destinations. But all endorsements are fair, honest and based solely on my experience. See my contact details below to discuss further or read my Media Kit.
